• Our story

Since its inception in 2007 in Shanghai's Jinqiao District, Head to Toe(H2T) Salon has thrived on a strong affiliation with the expatriate community. Initially, H2T positioned itself as more than just a salon, but a social hub where expats could meet, socialize, and find a sense of community away from home. This customer-centric approach included personalized touches like customer logo shirts, a logo wall adorned with "family" photos, and a welcoming atmosphere that encouraged word-of-mouth referrals among expatriates.

The salon's early success was bolstered by its responsiveness to customerpreferences. For instance, adding beer and wine to its service offerings catered to the social needs of its clientele. With a burgeoning expatriate population in Shanghai, including the influx following the opening of Disney in the area, H2T enjoyed a large and diverse customer base. This allowed them to maintain a sizable staff, many of whom were fluent in English, essential for serving the expatriate community effectively.
